I am a lifetime resident of St. Joe/Benton Harbor and have been in the building trades since 1982.

I received the bulk of my initial experience working for General Contracting and Associates of Stevensville, Mi. building high-end residential homes. I obtained my residential builders license in May of 1992 and have been in business for myself ever since.

My early focus was on smaller jobs that I could handle alone, such as small interior remodel jobs, decks, and ceramic tile work. I have since expanded my range of business, building homes ranging from $275,000 to well over $1,000,000 both spec and contract.

In my 25+ years in the business I have gotten to know many of the best subcontractors and have weeded out many bad ones. I work together well with tradesmen, designers, and architects making sure there is a full understanding of the job to be done. I make sure the job is done to the highest standards, and I pay them promptly. I have found this to be the best way to retain top notch subcontractors.

In addition to coordinating the projects I still do much of the work myself. Many builders today just work as job managers and get whomever they can to do the work (often for the cheapest price). I firmly believe that a good contractor should be present during all phases of construction.
